MY TREATMENT
What to expect
Information about your aromatherapy massage
It can feel daunting if it is your first treatment or experience of massage.
Here is what to expect, what to bring and some helpful tips for a smooth, relaxed start to your treatment:
Avoid wearing any clothes or underwear you do not wish to possibly be stained by oil
You may feel more comfortable showering or bathing before arriving so that you gain the full benefit of the essential oils on your skin
Avoid using body cream, oil or fragrances before your treatment as they will mix with your aromatherapy blend
Expect to remove any necklaces, bracelets or large earrings
Avoid eating a heavy meal, large quantities of fluids or alcohol before your treatment
Please arrive on time. If you are late, your treatment time may be reduced
When you arrive, you will be asked to remove your shoes and coat, and sanitise your hands. You will be taken to the treatment room for you to prepare for your consultation and treatment
For your massage, you will be asked to remove your clothing but will keep on your underwear (pants/knickers/shorts, or if receiving a back massage only, your trousers, if you wish)
You will have a patch test on your inner wrist (or other appropriate place) to ensure that your prepared blend is suitable for your skin
Only the area being treated will be uncovered during your massage, then recovered afterwards to maintain modesty and keep you warm
Do not hesitate to ask for extra heating, blankets or any adjustments that might make you more comfortable during your session
In the unfortunate event of you experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, flu-like symptoms or a fever, please do not attend your appointment.
Please telephone as soon as possible if you cannot make your appointment
After-care advice will be provided at the end of your session
